Another good book, Highly recommended for building solid community 
through consensus process is: Building United Judgment by the Center 
for Conflict Resolution.  This is THE consensus handbook and also 
covers some very excellent areas of interpersonal communications, 
dealing with conflicts, building trust.  Can be ordered from Community
