Regarding the "Intentional Community" debate: criteria for allowing posting have included focus, server limitations, and "psychic space" Since I have been mostly lurking here for about 4 months, I haven't really seen to many attempts by those crazy, free-lovin commune types to post their radical ideas here. I have, however, noted a dozen messages regarding policy concerning such postings. When the time comes and there are just too many of those communards distracting this forum, I bet that we will figure out a way of spawning another group. This kind of reminds me of the discussions and criteria that various cohousing groups make to define admission qualifications: demographic, philosophical, etc. When it comes down to it, the decision is generally based on compatability, level of commitment, and money -- the group's and the individuals'.
