Here are a few suggestions to cohousers who are looking for other potential
cohousers to plan and build an intentional collaborative/cohousing
neighborhood.

Get a copy of Salli Rasberry's "Marketing Without Advertising" which
describes in a step by step basis how to tell other people that your group
exists. Some of her other books: Seven Laws of Money, Honest Business,
Running A One Person Business.

Salli is also one of the "consultants" to Briarpatch, a network of 1700 one
person/family businesses---over a twenty-five year period 80% of the
Briarpatchers are still in business (the national average after 25 years- 10%
are still in business).

If you read Salli's book you find that:
- In general advertising doesn't work; but marketing does.
- You don't need any money to market; but you need lots of time.
- You will often confuse potential cohousers (and the media) unless you can
define in "35 words or less" what you mean by cohousing or collaborative
housing.

Salli along with Claude Whitmyer, Claude Miquelle, and others are
facilitators involved in a workshop "The Common Sense Approach To Running A
Small Time Contracting Development Business" (or how to not go bald or
bankrupt!)
