I'll rephrase my oxymoron statment.

I meant that if a group builds a community based on one belief and does not
promote diversity, it is my opinion that it is no longer cohousing. It's
intensional community, yes.

There is nothing wrong with this in anyway. I feel to have true cohousing
there must an openness and tolorence to anyone who wishes to be in community.

If you have a Menonite community and label it as such, call it a Menonite
community. but in ain't coho in my book.

Loren ? stated that my earlier statment was intolerant. This is not true. I
am looking to the future, and if religious lables start attaching themselves
to cohousing we're in deep shit.
Through the idea of being mainstream out the window.

Every community grows and forms around it's members and what ever happens,
happens. But if I get all my Jews for Jesus buddies together and say lets
start a cohousing community, it will be cohousing, untill we start calling
ourselves Jews for Jesus cohousing. Come on. Talk about limiting.

Enough.
