There are something like 535 people subscribed to the Cohousing-L mailing
list.  So when you send a message, ask yourself who the audience for the
message is.  If you are making a personal reply  to the comments of one
individual, you could do us all a favor by replying directly to that
individual rather than the whole list. If you have a beef with what someone
writes, consider answering them directly, unless you think the rest of would
benefit from your observations.  
Email is a tricky business, since the only indication of tone is in the
words themselves, and this can be very subjective. I would encourage folks
to read over once what you write before you send it, to ensure that your
meaning is not lost in the way you use the words.
