I don't remember if there have been threads re subj. before. I remember one on Strawbale common houses which would usually take solar orientation into consideration, no? Even if a building isn't totally designed for solar heating, doesn't orienting it so that windows are to the south and fewer windows on the north help? Plus the correct roofs/eaves to shade in the summer, allow sun in winter, etc.... Mike M Boulder
