Thanks!] Timber Frame, Straw-Bale & Straw-Clay Workshop ---------------------------------------------- April 16-20 1997, near Moab, Utah. Led by Robert Laporte, a Natural Home Builder with several years experience. We will be raising the walls on a community building in a co-housing community in a remote site 20 miles south of Moab, Utah. The site is at 5,900 feet at the base of the LaSal Mountains with a pond and creeks. The workshop will cover earth plastering and earth floors in addition to timber framing, straw-bale and straw-clay construction. Learn a variety of hands-on basic skills to build your own natural home. COST: For the full 5 day workshop: $475 if received before 3/15/97 $525 if received after 3/15/97 For the shortened 2 day workshop: $225 if received before 3/15/97 $255 if received after 3/15/97 A place in the class can be reserved for a non-refundable $50. NOTE: The 2 day workshop does not cover timber framing techniques. Workshop includes camping on site and 3 healthy, vegetarian meals a day. Maximum of 20 people for workshop. All tools and equipment provided. Everyone has the opportunity to learn every technique and use every tool.
