[Hi. If this isn't appropriate for this list, I apologise. Note that the
workshop _is_ at a cohousing community. Please send replies to
k_holladay [at] gmfsh.state.nm.us or to me -- neither of us will be monitoring
the list. Thanks!]

Timber Frame, Straw-Bale & Straw-Clay Workshop
----------------------------------------------

April 16-20 1997, near Moab, Utah.

Led by Robert Laporte, a Natural Home Builder with several years
experience. We will be raising the walls on a community building in a
co-housing community in a remote site 20 miles south of Moab, Utah.
The site is at 5,900 feet at the base of the LaSal Mountains with a
pond and creeks.

The workshop will cover earth plastering and earth floors in addition to
timber framing, straw-bale and straw-clay construction. Learn a variety
of hands-on basic skills to build your own natural home.

COST: For the full 5 day workshop: $475 if received before 3/15/97
                                   $525 if received after 3/15/97

For the shortened 2 day workshop: $225 if received before 3/15/97
                                  $255 if received after 3/15/97

A place in the class can be reserved for a non-refundable $50.

NOTE: The 2 day workshop does not cover timber framing techniques.

Workshop includes camping on site and 3 healthy, vegetarian meals a day.
Maximum of 20 people for workshop.

All tools and equipment provided. Everyone has the opportunity to learn
every technique and use every tool. Everyone's physical abilities and
interests naturally vary; we all work together to help each other.
