Large Bavarian style home with four BR, three bath, two stone fireplaces,
two elevated tree-level decks, wood walkways with large patio decks for
quiet and outdoor gatherings.  Over 3,000 sqf of interior space suitable
for two families, up to four couples, or up to eight individuals on a
residential basis.  

Former bed and breakfast facility for Cedar Bend Farm conference
facilities; could also be used for office/professional space, or an
oustanding COHOUSING facility.  Presently used as a refuge and hospitality
center for ecological travelers from as far away as New Zealand, and core
group of ecovillage developers.

SETTING:  Antrim County in the Grand Traverse Region of Michigan's NW lower
peninsula nearly atop the Cedar River (a designated "Blue Ribbon" trout
stream) with pure waters and serious small hydro potential.  About three
miles from the Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek ski and golf resorts, and the
regional center for all four season adventures.

The Inn is surrounded by mature trees and mature diversified perennial
gardens with excellent privacy combined with easy access to paved county
road and priority snow removal.  Neither a lawn mower or snow blower are

CONFERENCE FACILITIES:  The Inn is adjacent to conference facilities
suitable for residential retreats and conferences for 10-100 people. 
Conference village includes working organic farm, barns, animals,
blacksmith shop, woodshop, weaving rooms, artisan galleries, and more.  A
colonial meeting house, pioneer style log cabins, and a manor house with
dormitory style accomodations for up to thirty are available for around
$100 per day for the entire farm.

SEEKING:  New owners sympathetic to ecovillage/cohousing development. 
Residential space (private bedroom and bath with shared
office/kitchen/living space) is currently available.

Replacement building cost is over $300,000.  Price to cooperating Friends
is very negotiable.
