There is also a very practical based book called the Getting to yes
workbook, which I highly reccomend. It has structured excercises and
checklists to guide you, step by step, through the process. What getting to
yes promotes is the notion of interest based negotiation, rather than power
based or objective based negotiation. Rogers approach has been adopted by
many of the peace negotiators of the UN!  Its good stuff, worth knowing
about, particularly if you facilitate meetings.
