Re: clotheslines

Reported in today's paper: study confirms that use of a dryer
shortens clothes' life particularly when they are very wet and
near the end of the drying cycle. Cotton and linen fibers were
studies. Warmest settings were used.

I dry clothes indoors in Maine all winter to raise the humidity
as well as save the fibers. Folding racks work fine. Plants love
it too.

We used a retractable clothesline (Sears Roebuck) for years in
Neb. but it was only for our family of 4.
