The Health Department here in the State of Victoria suggests there are three approaches to cleaning: 1. detergent to shift dirt 2. fresh bleach watered down as directed on the label to desinfect 3. air to dry Bleach would be appropriate for spilled blood or faeces; suggesting it would be overkill in the kitchen under most circumstances. Bleach by itself doesn't shift dirt either. :-) Hans (I teach domestic management for community services purposes)
