Communities magazine CALL FOR ARTICLES: "Decision Making in Community"

   Winter Issue, due out mid-December 2000

If you've got experiences, anecdotes and tales, ideas, information,
cautions, or insights about decision-making in community, I'd be
interested in hearing from you.

The deadline for letting me know if you'd like to submit an article is
***July 26th***. Completed articles are due August 28. Let's talk by
phone or email about your ideas.  828-863-4425 or communities [at] ic.org.

We're interested in the range of options in community decision making;
participatory democracy compared to hierarchical management (can having
a leader be beneficial?); the consensus process-pros and cons, how to
learn it, getting trained as a facilitator; use of voting; etc. etc.
