Sometimes the boards will use the management company as an excuse. "We had
no choice" rather than tackle the hard issues. There is always an
alternative. It may be no cooking on the balconies unless you carry more
fire insurance or put in metal balcony ceilings, etc.

The management company should work FOR you, not you for them.
