Dear Cohousers- I wrote this while the list was down . Donella Meadows (cohouser(Cobb Hill Cohousing and Ecovillage, Vermont), Director of Sustainability Institute, on the Board of Center for a New American Dream, systems analyst, author of Global Citizen column, author of _Limits to Growth_ and lots else, *WISE* woman. . . . died Feb. 20. She's a hero of mine - someone posted a couple of messages from her to this list. I was browsing her old columns (a favorite break of mine) , and found this: (Aug 14, 1997) Co-Housing - Somewhere Between Neighborhood and Commune http://iisd.ca/pcdf/meadows/cohousing.htm Her obituary is at www.earthdreams.net www.earthdreams.net/articles/dana/2001/obituary.shtml - as well as an archive of her recent columns. A longer archive is at http://iisd.ca/pcdf/meadows/default.htm I thought folks might find it interesting. Lots of folks besides me are going to miss her wisdom and wit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Judy Baxter, Monterey Cohousing Community,(MoCoCo) Twin Cities Area, Mpls.,MN -- e-mail: baxter [at] epi.umn.edu _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
