Anyone have any observations on "mini cohousing" , that is cohousing that is constrained to small numbers of households ( 8 or fewer households? ) typically by site considerations? It is my impression that there are many times more people who would like to live in cohousing than have so far and probably ever will manage to actually do so. It seems possible that the number of opportunities for mini cohousing and other cohousing like situations are such that it is possible that someday more people could live in these than in more conventional cohousing. I presume that the dynamics of a community are affected by the number of people in the community. I have long thought that an ideal number is 30 households tho I dont have enough experience to really judge. I have also come to the opinion that number of people not just households is probably as significant since household size varies considerably. There are undoubtedly some people who prefer small numbers. Fred -- Fred H.
