I know this has been posted before, but it's getting
routinely ignored.

Avoid MIME format, since that then prints out in
unintelligible gibberish after the ordinary message,
on a system like mine, which isn't all that old. 

The way things are posting lately, a four-line post
may take up three computer screens, with the prior
quotes, then the MIME code. For those of us who
receive Digest Mode, this may mean that a 5-item
digest goes on nearly forever.<<
