Speakers: 9:00 to 9:15 Introduction by Building for Social Responsibility 9:15 to 9:45 Sheila Braun, Project Coordinator for Champlain Valley Cohousing, presents a slide show on cohousing in general and briefly discusses the plans & financial aspects of the project in Charlotte, Vermont. 9:45 to 10:15 Hal and Susie Hamilton talk about the Cobb Hill Cohousing project in Hartland, Vermont. 10:15 to 10:30 Break 10:30 to 11:00 Bill Maclay of William Maclay Architects and Planners and the Tomorrow Institute discusses the permitting, architectural, and design aspects of cohousing. 11:00 to 11:30 Roelof Boumans of the University of Vermont's new Gund Institute for Ecological Economics discusses the possible impact of cohousing on an ecological and socially responsible future. 11:30 to 12:00 Will Raap, president and owner of Gardener's Supply and Chairman of the Intervale Board of Directors, discusses how farming and cohousing can be combined to preserve farmland. 12:00 to 12:30 Lunch 12:30 to 2:00 Site tour led by Bill Maclay.
