I'm a resident of Casa Verde Commons in Colordado Springs, Colorado. We built our Common House first and are very glad we did. The Common House was completed and dedicated in late October 2002 and we began to furnish it right away. We started our common meals in January 2003 when about half of us had moved in. Having figured out our meal system well in advance, it was only a matter of furnishing the kitchen and dining room and we were ready to go. Finishing the Common House first meant we had a place to gather as we moved in, all the more important since it was in the wintertime. It's been in regular use ever since.
