On July 10, the Cohousing Association of the US will again be touring northern California communities in Sacramento, Davis, Pleasant Hill, Berkeley, Emeryville and Oakland..

Benefits of cohousing tours:

-- See first-hand how the layout of spaces and buildings enhance or detract from community.

-- Learn some of the elements of design that make cohousing work, from floor plans to site plans.

-- Learn what the process of "programming" is, and why it's critical to a successful community.

-- Get ideas that you can either bring to the planning of your own community, or use to decide what kind of community you'd like to live in.

-- Talk directly with residents of completed communities, learn what works for them and what doesn't, and get answers to questions that you just can't get from books.

Hope to see you on the tour!
