Hello-Ecovillage-Ithaca is currently two cohousing neighborhoods with
a total of 60 homes-about 120 adults and 60 children. Not all the
adults actively use the pond but probably all the children do. There
are times when the beach is full of supervising adults and very small
kids, but it is also a magnet for others to come and hang out at the
picnic tables to simply visit, even if they are not going in the pond.
Someone who wants a more peaceful scene might wait for another time.
The pond is visible from many of the homes and from the Common House in
the first neighborhood so you can see what's going on and decide if you
want to come on by..

I have yet to visit youall, someday. Does "Ecovillage Ithaca" (ie those that share the pond) include more than one cohousing community? People who are not in a cohousing community? Any idea how many people in total share the pond? If it is significantly more thanin a typical cohousing community, how does this affect use? For example a larger pool of people to share supervison / lifeguard duty when childrenare present. Fred -- Fred H.
