What are cohousers doing about tobacco/cigarette smoking on their sites? Weare thinking about what to do here at Two Acre Wood in Sebastopol.
Smoking is not allowed in the commonhouse or the guest rooms. People can smoke outside or in their own units. This has never been an issue. Only one resident smokes (that I know of) and he agrees that other people shouldn't have to just because he does.
An au pair from France and her visiting (large) family did smoke and that was bit of a problem since all of them were smoking outside and it was a bit like a nightclub in the piazza and outside the guest rooms, but not a big issue.
