Hi,

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/27/national/27commune.html?ex=1141707600&en=f70a5644f2b019ea&ei=5070&emc=eta1

The NYT article about elder cohousing/"communes" is the number 1 most
emailed article (as listed on the main NYT site).

Seems like there is a little pent up demand!

Wahoo, thanks for the news!

Unfortunately the article makes it sound like cohousing is the only form of intergenerational cooperative housing in existence. It refers to the 82 lived-in coho communities while ignoring the 600-2000 lived-in non-coho communities. Kinda frustrating. But hopefully once people get a taste of what's possible they'll do further research. In the meantime, i'm trying to get folks in FIC to write in letters to the editor with corrections . . . anyone on this list who wants to join them, great, i assume they'll be more likely to publish if more people write on the same topic.

Cheers,

--Tree
