James,

This is what I use to create the magic e-books I have for sale.

PdfSuite995
www.pdf995.com <http://www.pdf995.com> | /Download now/ <http://www.pdf995.com/download.html> The pdf995 Suite of products is a complete solution for your PDF creation and document publishing needs, offering ease of use, flexibility in format, and industry-standard security. And all at no cost to you. Pdf995 is the fast, affordable way to create professional-quality documents in the popular PDF file format. Its easy-to-use interface allows you to create PDF files by simply selecting the "print" command from any application. Combined with pdfEdit995 and Signature995, it offers numerous features.

I also use this one a lot. I scan books, saved each page as a graphic file, and turned them into PDF files. I then use PDFSuite to combine the pages, and voila, an e-book!

OmniFormat
www.omniformat.com <http://www.omniformat.com> | /Download now/ <http://www.freeware995.com/omniformat/omniformat.exe> OmniFormat is a free document conversion utility which allows dynamic conversion and image manipulation of over 75 file formats including HTML, DOC, XLS, WPD, PDF, XML, JPG, GIF, TIF, PNG, PCX, PPT, PS, TXT, Photo CD, FAX, MPEG and more.

Open Office and Easy Office (both free) also have the capability of doing PDF's, basically you create your document in the Word Processor and then you can save it as a PDF.

Actually, converting a Word Document to PDF is pretty easy. If you install a program that will covert a Word Doc to PDF, all that it entails is selecting "PDF" under the "Print" option instead of choosing "printer"
-This program is Acrobat writer, isn't it? And isn't it expensive?
The .pdf reader (Acrobat reader) is free but the writer isn't.
Is there another pdf writer program you know of that doesn't cost as much?
James
