Raines -- thank you for passing along this info. This is HORRIBLE.
Carol Robinson, SLV works at VaTech. She is active in MAC. (Mid
Atlantic Cohousing)
Jack Wilbern and Brigitte Wazana's daughter attends VaTech. I hear she is ok. (Jack is my business partner in Cohousing Collaborative and Brigitte is VERY active in cohousing and MAC. Both live at Blueberry Hill Cohousing in VA.) This is the second lockdown this academic year.
The Washington Post on-line says 32 dead. The local news says 29 injured, 3 critically.
My prayers are w/ everyone who has been touched by this horror. Best -- Ann Zabaldo Principal, The Cohousing Collaborative McLean, VA Direct # 202 291-7892 FAX 202 291 8594 On Apr 16, 2007, at 1:43 PM, Raines Cohen wrote:
When I heard about the shooter-on-the-loose at Virginia Tech this morning and a "lockdown" on campus, I emailed ShadowLake Village Cohousing resident John Imbur, who does cohousing.org web production and Cohousing magazine delivery work (including the "paperboy" distribution job I used to do). I visited the community last month and remembered how close it was to campus, how Blacksburg is a small, relatively-isolated town, and I knew that some ShadowLake folks work there.
