This is more news about Bussard's approach to fusion power. He thinks he needs $200 M to develop a 100 MW prototype in 5 years. His favored fusion reaction uses Boron (Borax, soap), produces no neutrons, and thus no radioactive waste. Here is a non-technical summary: http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?F=2584496&C=america Video of a presentation Bussard did at Google. One of his proposed spinoffs was to process existing radioactive waste and thereby reduce its storage requirements from 4,000 years to 40: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1996321846673788606 His company: http://www.emc2fusion.org Brian
