At RoseWind, we usually have a party at the Common House for Halloween. 
Several years we included a funny skit: Cloth screens back lit with 
"doctors" operating on a "patient" using giant tools and tossing crazy 
things over the screen. You had to be there..... 

Someone else brings a basket of masks, for those who haven't already 
costumed themselves. Scarecrow witchy decor on the porch, cobwebs in the 
entry. 

It's fun and provides the kids an alternative to trick-or-treat.
