Hi - Eastern Village Cohousing in Silver Spring, Maryland, does not have parking.? Residents do without cars, park them on the street, or pay for a permit to park them in the county garage behind EVC.? We may have lost a few possible buyers, but I don't think parking is much of an issue in selling units.? Certainly doesn't seem to affect their value. We are walking distance to the Silver Spring Metro station and a bunch of bus lines. We are building 30 units near mass transit and therefore aren't required to provide parking. The community chose to maximize green space on our lot rather than provide parking, so that is what we are doing. However, for our appraiser, it would be helpful to provide a precedence for this. Does anyone know of any urban communities without any on-site parking (we have street parking available). If so, were there any problems selling the units due to this? -- Kristin Wells Daybreak Cohousing, LLC 503.754.6776 Kristin [at] daybreakcohousing.org www.daybreakcohousing.org _________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/ ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
