Every member of our community pays a $5 a month ($60 annual) commonhouse cleaning fee. Every person is then scheduled for a 3 hour cleaning slot on one of 12 monthly teams. Then you choose. You can do the three hours and get your annual fee refunded, or you can have someone else take your place and get paid your annual fee. Sometimes people who find themselves in arrears on their assessments are happy to take over somebody elses cleaning tasks. This sort of pay ahead program is usually easier to collect and has worked well for us. Rob Sandelin Sharingwood Snohomish County, WA
