A word of caution. I don't know anything about the $19K elevator (although I'm going to investigate ASAP!), but a rule of thumb for elevators is that the shaft and related building work can be about the same price as the elevator itself. So if the $19K elev. is just for single family residences as I suspect it is possible that +/- $19K could be spent building the shaft and related requirements. It would be interesting to get info from buyers about actual additional building costs for this unit. Most common houses are close in practical terms to the needs of a single family house but the code authorities will probably not see it that way. Anyway, if a +/-$19K solution can be found to this obvious problem, that would be great. If any of the communities buy one of these elevators be sure to tell the rest of us how it worked out!

I was surprised to find a company that claims they have an elevator that starts at $19k.
