Turnover stats at New View (Acton MA): 13 years, 24 households, 4 moveouts. -1 moved in the first year - "this isn't really for us" -1 moved to a be near a private school that fit for their kids. -1 moved to the other coast to be near a special activity for one kid, and to be near aging parents. -1 moved to a continuing care community near her daughter. Using the 'Ragland formula' (see Craig's post) that would be a turnover rate of 4/(24*13) = 1.28% Another way to interpret the number is to invert it: 1/1.28% = 78: estimated 100% turnover every 78 years. Hey, if this was a contest, we'd be in first place or last, depending on how you counted. -Jim
