I have a gmail account and it invites me every time i send an email to
invite the recipient to get gmail, so i'm assuming this guy was not
advertizing but accidentally hit the button that sends the invitation, and
unfortunately sent it to the entire listserv. i've heard the same story,
tom, and am in big trouble if that happens to me, but am (maybe stupidly)
trusting that google will not lose my entire life/calendar/address book/
etc/etc/!!!!!!!! we are all so dependent on technology, eh?
