P.S. The Communal Studies Association was nice enough to include a
link to the 2009 National Cohousing Conference on their website. In
2008, we had a number of academics that came to the National
Conference. They added both depth and breadth to our many
conversations.

Communal Studies Association Annual Conference, October 1-3, Aurora, OR -
Hosted by the Aurora Colony Historical Society, the theme of the conference
is "From Eden to Ecotopia" with the program committee seeking sessions,
panels, and papers that explore the range of communities that sought to
rediscover Eden or who continue to seek an ideal community based on
ecological and sustainable lifestyles. The deadline for submission of paper
and session proposals is May 1. To submit a proposal, send a presentation
title, a 150-word maximum abstract, and a 100-word biography and contact
