\Maytag front-loading washers also can get moldy seals if you close thedoor. Is it a generic problem for front-loaders?
You need to leave them open or dry off the rubber seal. They are water tight, so you are sealing in water when you close the door. Since there is mold in the air, it will gravitate to any water on the seal. It isn't a "problem" so much as thats the way the physical world works. Water + dark place = mold.
Just leave it open a crack. This is probably included in the instructions somewhere. Top loaders don't seal -- their problem is they don't wash as well and used ~twice as much water.
