Hi Lynn, What comes to mind is automatic soap dispensers, where you hover you hand under it and it squirts some out soap. Like this:http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=17568949 You'd have to see reviews to check that these really work and last. These would surely make it impossible for a kid to squirt on the wall. As for the soap itself, there's a brand whose name escapes me but which is sold at natural food stores and is completely unscented. You can put it in bulk and refill as needed. I'm sure if you shopped around you'd find something you like. We didn't install the wall-mount ones. We know that bar soap is unhygienic. So we use some variation on the pump-top bottles. Unfortunately, unruly children at some point seem to have decided that bombing the walls with soap squirt was entertaining. Never had an admission, but the walls in both bathrooms would seem to tell that tale. Even for those who are trying to be tidy, some pumps squirt too much, or splat stuff about. I invested in some that were supposed to dispense soap foam, but they really made a mess. Ideally, we also want a fragrance-free soap, due to folks' allergies. So far, we can get away with a mild citrus scent. Most dispenser soaps are horribly scented. Any ideas for us? (PS- if anyone is still using "antibacterial' soap in kitchen or bathrooms, don't! Even our local county food handlers' training now says such soaps are unnecessary and are screwing up our waters and our immunities. ) Maraiah Lynn Nadeau www.rosewind.com _________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/
