A great resource that gets young people involved in resolving conflicts is "Come Join the Circle: LessonSongs for PeaceMaking". You can order the CD and find notes for each songs that give you ideas that will train young people in thinking about conflict resolution by getting them to listen and sing along with this CD on Paulette Meier's website. ( http://www.lessonsongs.com/pages/content/index.html) They will enjoy it their learning and be trained to come to the "peace Table" Diana Porter Message: 7 Date: Sun, 13 Mar 2011 17:06:34 -0400 From: Sophie Glasser <bringjoy [at] verizon.net> Subject: [C-L]_ mediation program for children at cohousing? I am trying to start one here and would love to hear any people's experience...In my background as an elementary teacher, I used a book "Talk It Out: Conflict Resolution in the Elementary Classroom" and expanded that system to include training some of my students to be peer mediators...now I am trying to see how that could be useful in the cohousing setting...Would love to hear what other cohousing communities have tried. Warmly, Sophie Glasser Mosaic-Commons Cohousing
