On a tour of CH communities, I once saw a plan for an outdoor brick oven for 
making pizza and a grill for grilling as the focus for a large outdoor seating 
area. The community already had the habit of spending much time around picnic 
tables there.

Depending on where you are, outdoor cooking is often perfectly pleasant for 
much of the year.
