Hello All,(Pending any thought from Fred) I would treat Sharon's post as an announcement, i.e., not for response, rather than the start of a discussion thread. In a way, it's similar to Ty Albright's announcement to post on www.greatagain.gov about cohousing.

I?ve personally forwarded it to all my friends and family, many of whom have gone on forward it to their friends and family. I personally think this is a great forum for sharing ideas and issues that have broad, real-world impact. Speaking up is a vital part of being a community member and being an engaged citizen. Please just ignore the petition if you don?t want to participate or disagree.

I included the text of the petition below. There are several others, one with over 2 million signatures but this is one thing I can do so I?m doing it. You can sign the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/electoral-college-electors-urge-electors-to-vote-for-clinton?recruiter=3155383&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=share_email_responsive The petition will be delivered to the Electoral College Electors. Please forward this message to others. As in everyone you know. Save Us, SharonOn December 19, state delegates to the Electoral College will cast their ballots. We urge the Electors to vote for Hillary Clinton. The delegates to the Electoral College were expected to be wise and educated people who could make the final decision independently when necessary. It is now necessary. Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating, impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to our present and our future. The damage he can do will last for generations. His supreme court appointments are for life. And there could be three, not just one. Hillary won the popular vote. The only way Trump can actually win is if each state's Electors to the Electoral College follow the minority vote. HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE. There is no reason Trump should be President. OUR CONSTITUTION DOES NOT SAY TRUMP HAS WON. Our Constitution says the Electors decide. MOST STATES DO NOT REQUIRE THEIR ELECTORS TO VOTE FOR TRUMP. Only 24 states bind delegates but they can still vote for Hillary. There is no legal means to stop them in most states. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE! This is our only hope._________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/_________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/_________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/_________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/_________________________________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list -- Unsubscribe, archives and other info at: http://www.cohousing.org/cohousing-L/

There are many other forums for political views, and this topic is particularly divisive. Let's reserve the Cohousing-L list for our labor of love, helping one another add community to the world.
