The one time I hosted “strangers”, they claimed, plausibly enough, that they had relatives in a community I had recently visited, and were looking for cohousing opportunities for themselves. Turned out that they were a very nice young couple touring the East Coast and leveraging free places to stay in cohousing guest rooms. So my question is: When your strangers are “from” another cohousing community … do you do an ID check of some sort?
