Hi all,

This is Sylvie Kashdan of Jackson Place Cohousing, in Seattle, Washington.

In this community all residents are welcome and encouraged to participate in all activities, including meetings and teams (committees), and all residents can utilize facilities. This includes homeowners, renters and live-in caretakers. The only difference between renters and live-in caretakers and homeowners is that only homeowners can vote on financial matters.

Several live-in caretakers help the people they are living with to continue their engagement with the community. And They also help the community in ways beyond assisting the individuals they live with. When they leave we miss those people a lot.

Cohousingly,
