I am one of the homeowners in Liberty Village where, as Merlin said in a
recent post, we have geothermal heating. I also have Icynene foam
insulation in my home. It is the most comfortable, quietest, energy
efficient home I have ever had.

There are no drafts, no too hot and too cold rooms as there have been in
my other homes. I am never aware of the heat or AC coming on and
blowing, although it does, but very gently. The temperature is very
even. I have 1000 square feet and my heating bills have been $30-60 a
month for nine months over the winter. I never hear my duplex neighbor.
My allergies have gotten better. My home has qualified as Energy Star. I
understand some lenders give a break for Energy Star homes.

It is well worth the extra expense and has given me no trouble.
