Maybe it was mentioned earlier but another key factor in making it easy for people to use the CH is to have it at a livable temperature all the time. In the CoHo I used to live in, the thermostat was set way down in winter and way up in summer when there were no scheduled events. This discouraged casual use of the CH and for scheduled events, someone had to go in some good time before the event and adjust the thermostat because there was quite a lag in heating and cooling.
