Re: commercial or residential refrigerator?

We have a Traulsen Model G20010 2-door refrigerator in our Common House
kitchen. We use one side of it for kitchen staples (butter, eggs, cheese,
condiments, and ingredients for upcoming community meals) and the other
side for leftovers or other food that is up for grabs. There's plenty of
room for sheet pans (I think our largest ones are three-quarter size, but
full size would fit) and large bowls for meal prep stuff. We also
have a Traulsen
Model G12010 1-door freezer, used exclusively for kitchen staples (salmon
that we order in bulk once a year, vegetable stock, vegetable trimmings for
making more vegetable stock, etc.). We do allow folks to temporarily store
things in both the freezer and fridge, as long as there's space and it's
very short term storage. We do have two residential freezers in the Common
House basement for storage of personal frozen goods. In the cafe area of
our Common House great room we also have an under-counter beverage
fridge Silver
King Model SKR24. They're all noisier than a residential fridge, but the
noise is really only an issue for the cafe beverage fridge. They're all
nine years old and reasonably reliable.
