On the other hand, I have cork floors on my unit that have lost a lot of their surface due to dog claws and even where I stand to prepare food (tho I wear slippers in my house). My guess is that wearing began to show in five years or less. I think the type of cork is the issue so be sure to get the particulars from the writer who's had success with cork.
