I'm considering going to Protect and Reject in Washington, DC, next
weekend. If anyone else is interested in participating in this historic
protest, I encourage you to join me.

I'm also seeking some financial assistance. I live below the poverty line,
and the $150-200 for the bus fare doesn't include 7-8 meals. If anyone can
help, that would be great. In exchange, I'd be happy to give a report at
the next MUUSJA environmental action group meeting. Thanks for considering
my request.

On Friday, April 25th, a bus full of Minnesotans will be leaving for
Washington, DC to join with thousands of others at Reject and Protect, a
historic protest against the Keystone XL pipeline. Weâre joining with
Native communities and ranchers from the Cowboy Indian Alliance to shine a
spotlight on the need to reject this pipeline and protect our climate and
communities. *Will you be part of this adventure to DC?*

Hereâs what you need to know:

The bus leaves Friday, April 25th around 9am from Minneapolis.

We're in DC almost all day Saturday and will be getting home on Sunday
evening (April 27th) around 7pm -- *there is no overnight in DC *so no
   need for a hotel.

Cost: $200 or $150, depending on need -- lower cost options available
   too, depending on fundraising.

*If you canât go, can you donate to offset expenses for someone
else?*While we only charge break-even costs for the bus, there are
many people
who canât afford $150. Donating any amount of money will make it possible
for more people from Minnesota to attend this event.

*The bus is filling up this week. Go here to register yourself, learn more,
or make a donation:

The event itself is on Saturday, April 26th. Itâs the culmination of a
week long encampment by members of the Cowboy Indian Alliance, arranged to
make sure President Obama sees firsthand the people who would be impacted
by the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. Weâre going to stand in solidarity
with these frontline communities at their request. *Come be part of the
