Peace Calendar for June 30, 2008

[Editor's recommendations for this week: As a personal note, I will say
that I have been in a rather deep and sometimes angry mourning since Jack
Nelson--Pallmayer lost the DFL Senate endorsement contest. As a result, I
make only the following recommendations:
  1. Take a very long walk in nature.
  2. Leave your car behind and ride a bike whenever possible.
  3. Think of who you would trust with your life and build that
  4. Consider your wider community and take steps to make it bigger,
  5. Try not to spend a single penny of your money that would eventually go
to warmongers, war profiteers or mercenaries.
  6. Support candidates who give you hope. Ignore those who don't.]
