Hello friends, MN350âs mission is to support the development of a climate movement powerful enough to transform our world and preserve the planet. We understand that our power lies with each other, so we want to shine a spotlight on all of the great work happening throughout the state & knit together a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Getting organized is essential in making large-scale change. That's why we're offering a two day Climate Organizer Workshop for people working on climate and justice-related work in Minnesota. Itâs free! All you need to bring is your passion and energy. WHAT: October Training in the Twin Cities WHEN: October 26-27, Saturday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM WHERE: Waite House, 2323 11th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN <http://act.350.org/go/3901?t=1&akid=3661.824190.SyY7lp> Click here to register. The 350.org curriculum is based on contributions from leading activist and training organizations. It pulls together the most effective strategies and tools for organizing. The focus of this workshop will include topics such as planning strategic actions and campaigns, leadership skills, and tools for building groups and organizations. The workshop will be tailored to the skill level and interest of the participants. Whether you are looking to increase the impact of your climate work or just diving in, this interactive and experiential workshop offers tools and frameworks to support you. Although the cost to attend is free, donations are accepted. We also ask that people commit to being present for the full two days, since the material builds on itself and space is limited. Questions? For more information about the workshop, visit MN350.org or contact erin [at] MN350.org. We are so energized by the grassroots movement happening in Minnesota! Thank you for being part of it. Onward, Kate and the MN350 team PS. Here's another opportunity to plug in: Over 200 Minnesota youth are traveling to Pennsylvania next week to participate in Power Shift 2013, and we're supporting this new generation of activists with a sponsorship program. Click here for more information on sponsorship <http://act.350.org/go/3902?t=2&akid=3661.824190.SyY7lp> , and join us on Saturday, October 26 for an evening to support MN's intergenerational movement. Sponsored Power Shift attendees will be presenting back to the community about their experience, followed by a fundraiser kick-off. We'll gather from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gandhi Mahal, 3009 27th Ave South. Questions?
