At times we all face the desire to turn away from thoughts and feelings of
enormous uncertainty and fear around climate change. Fortunately for us,
the principles of our practice give us potent ways to look clearly at what
is happening to our beloved planet. Our afternoon together includes talks,

*ENERGY & CLIMATE "A Call to Climate Action: America's New National
Purpose" Thursday Aug. 14, 6:30 to 8:30pm*
*Christ the King Lutheran Church *8600 Fremont Av S Bloomington, MN 55420
You are invited to join State Senator Rob Hogg of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a
discussion about why climate change matters and what practical steps
Americans are taking to do something about it. This event is designed for
people who are interested in getting more informed and more involved. The
author of America's Climate Century (2013), Senator Hogg has spoken across
Iowa and around the country to call on Americans to make the fight against
climate change our new national purpose. Having represented Cedar Rapids
during an unprecedented flood in 2008, Senator Hogg brings a “dose of
reality†to the issue of climate change. As a recognized leader in the
Iowa Legislature, he also brings knowledge about the numerous climate
solutions that are already working for his state and our country.
