Dear Friends,

*This September, world leaders are coming to New York City for a landmark
Climate Summit at the United Nations. *They need to hear a clear call for
climate action, not just from speeches in gilded halls, but people from
every corner of the country, and the world.

Together with hundreds of partner organizations,* we’ll make sure they
hear that message loud and clear.* With our future on the line and the
whole world watching, we’ll take to the streets to call for the world that
we know is within our reach, a world with good jobs, clean air and water,
and healthy communities.

Thousands of people from across the country, including *hundreds of
Minnesotans* will be there for the People’s Climate March. Will you join
us?

We can build this world, but like every successful social movement in
history, *people of faith must show up in powerful ways*. Can we count on
you to be there? Buy your ticket here.

Join us for a “cross country” tour led by MNIPL
<http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=aO5JQUaLWJ9cq4WA9XsLGNqFqiTdX8dN>
with delegates from many faith communities, poets, musicians, storytellers.
We will have a 2-day adventure together picking up folks along the way.
We will be camping and telling stories at the Indiana Dunes. Then we’ll
meet with activists in PA for climate conversations, and create a
collective art project with groups across the country. On Sunday the 21st
we will join faith activists from all over the country for a prayer service
before marching with hundreds of thousands of people from every walk of
life to build the world we know is possible!

*We aren’t just in for a march, we are building a movement.* One month from
today we’ll stand together and we’ll stand up, for our families, our
friends, our communities, and our children’s future. Will you join us?

In the meantime, join us on September 3 for a Get Together
<http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=Z%2BnkzVXLbhXBXzSd1g8hbtqFqiTdX8dN>
at
Gandhi Mahal for delicious Indian food, music from Scott Marrs, and a
chance to get to know one another before embarking on our journey to NYC.
We’ll plan activities for our travel like music on the bus, storytelling,
food, gifts for our homestay hosts, a community art project, and more!

Together,

Claire

PS. *St Luke Presbyterian* was selected to be highlighted in a documentary
by the Climate Reality Project, for their incredible climate justice and
sustainability work led by their youth on climate conversations, fossil
fuel divestment in the larger Presbyterian Church USA, and their upcoming
solar installation. The Climate Reality Project will be at St Luke Sunday,
August 24th, to film the service led by children and youth, dedicated to
celebrating this work. *Join us for worship at 10:30am *to celebrate and
learn about the MNIPL programming that supported these successes and how it
might be useful in your faith community.
