NOTE: To subscribe, to unsubscribe or to send event announcements, please write to peacecalendar [at] visi.com with "peace calendar" in the subject line. SPECIAL NOTE: I got a note from Lennie, who has informed me about the Saturday afternoon vigil in Blaine. It seems the vigil is steady but small, and he wonders if I could do a bit more to steer folks from the North Metro his way. Good question! As the war in Iraq becomes more and more unpopular with everybody except Dick Cheney, maybe it's time for all of us to give an hour every week (or even every month) to a vigil nearby. The sense of community is sustaining, in my experience, and it encourages all who pass by to be more courageous in their peacemaking. A listing of vigils follows the calendar section. (And please let me know if you attempt to attend a vigil listed that is no longer active.)
