The Cuban Five are Cuban revolutionaries who were monitoring the terrorist
activities of anti-Cuban exile groups in Miami. These groups had already
carried out deadly attacks against Cuba and were continuing to plan more
attacks. The Five were arrested by the FBI on September 12 1998, and were
framed and convicted in a trial that one court called a “perfect storm” of
prejudice.
